The GoPro launch has been with two major products the GoPro Fusion and GoPro Hero 6 Black. There were also updates for the Karma Drone, Quik Stories and the GoPro app.
The GoPro Fusion has arrived
The GoPro Fusion has landed – GoPro’s VR camera! Jeff is beside himself with excitement being our in house 360 expert!
This all new camera capture full 360º footage and utilises two slightly off set lens on either side of the body to enable seamless stitching of the two captured views.
The Fusion will works with the GoPro app!
Built in stabalisation offers gimbal like steady footage and as with the Hero cameras will feature full voice control.
Don’t just think of the Fusion as another 360 camera as it features OverCapture. A feature that we’ve already seen on the Yi 360 and enables you to change the framing of the shot back in the edit suite.
Angel view video, little planet, pano view and time-shift views are just some of the other views that are available, a few screen shots from the presentation are below.
Over capture is the big new feature enabling one person to select the framing of the shot from the 360 capture.

GoPro’s super slick edit suite takes a leap with Nick Woodman demoing exactly whats possible when you combine the filming opportunities that are offered by the full GoPro family. GoPro Karma Grip, Karma Drone and of Course GoPro
Karma Drone sees an update that will enable you to film up drone as well as in front and below. Don’t worry when the Karma looks up those blades are definitely out of shot…
GoPro Hero 6 Black
Well it’s the big launch we were waiting for and the GoPro Hero 6 Black has landed.
Big 4K at 60fps, gimbal like stabilisation and the new GP1 processor that’s making these big resolutions and frame rates possible
The promo video is something – those colours and the clarity of footage looks amazing!
Watching this on a 30-inch monitor and that footage is incredibly detailed and amazingly smooth. Dynamic range looks good from those diving shots.
It also looks like the low light performance has leaped forward and this has been confirmed along with the dynamic range in Nick Woodman’s presentation, good news for all of us here in the UK!
