Angela Nicholson

Angela is our Reviews Editor and a co-founder of Camera Jabber. She focuses on reviewing cameras and lenses but also loves getting her hands on all sorts of accessories and holds the Civil Aviation Authority’s A2 Certificate of Competency (A2 CofC) and General Visual Line of Sight (GVC) qualifications for flying drones.

Angela has a BA in Photography and Multimedia from the University of Westminster and began testing and reviewing photographic equipment in 2004 at Amateur Photographer Magazine. After a few years as the magazine’s Technical Editor, she joined Future Publishing as the Head of Testing across its photography titles including Digital Camera World and TechRadar.

In 2018, Angela founded SheClicks, a community for female photographers centred around a Facebook group. SheClicks aims to encourage and support female photographers of all levels of experience, from novices using a phone to experienced pros handling top-end kit. In February 2023, it was voted Amateur Photographer’s Community of the Year.

As well as being a widely respected editor, writer and reviewer, Angela is a judge for several prestigious competitions including Landscape Photographer of the Year, The British Photography Awards, Eizo Student Photographer of the Year, Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year, Travel Photographer of the Year and the Potato Photographer of the Year.
