Building on the success of the popular Ellie universal L-bracket, 3 Legged Thing has unveiled the Lexie, a new universal L-bracket with an extending base plate. Like all 3 Legged Thing’s L-brackets, the Lexie is Arca-Swiss compatible.
L-brackets like the 3 Legged Thing Lexie allow photographers to switch the cameras between landscape and portrait orientation without adjusting the tripod head and while keeping the camera sensor on the same focal plane.

The Lexie is compatible with an array of DSLR and mirrorless cameras from manufacturers such as Canon, Fujifilm, Leica, Nikon, OM System, Panasonic, Pentax, and Sony.
Crafted from precision-engineered magnesium alloy, the Lexie is available in three colours; Copper (orange), Slate Grey and Darkness (matte black).
The L-bracket features two camera screw slots in its base, allowing for optimal positioning and access to side ports and screens. Consequently, as well as catering for a range of cameras, the Lexie’s modular design ensures that battery doors and cable connections are usually accessible.

The vertical aspect of Lexie has a small cut-out, adjustable to four different positions, facilitating tethering with L-shaped cables in portrait orientation. The extending base enables the vertical aspect to be moved away from the camera, accommodating larger cables and accessories.
As a bonus, the Lexie comes with a specially designed Peak Design Capture v3-compatible adapter, made from strong, non-abrasive glass-reinforced nylon.
Adding to its versatility, the Lexie is equipped with two ¼”-20 screw threads in both the vertical aspect and the base, enabling attachment of various accessories in portrait orientation.
