Peak Design rethinks the L-bracket with modular Field Bracket

Peak Design is taking aim at one of photography’s most overlooked accessories with the launch of the Field Bracket, a modular support system that promises to make the traditional L-bracket considerably more versatile. Rather than treating an L-bracket as a permanent fixture on your camera, the new design allows photographers to reconfigure the setup in seconds without reaching for a hex key. The Field Bracket is built around a model-specific baseplate that contours to individual camera bodies while maintaining access to battery compartments and camera ports. From there, users can quickly attach or remove the vertical upright depending on whether they’re shooting in landscape or portrait orientation, effectively transforming the bracket from a full L-bracket into a slim baseplate whenever a lighter setup is preferred.
