Olympus: we're set on keeping our customers engaged

Just about all businesses are being adversely affected by the current crisis, but many in the photographic industry are still trying to help photographers continue with their hobby or profession as far as possible.

I spoke to Claire Voyle from Olympus UK to hear what the manufacturer has been doing to help keep photographers motivated. On the sales front, it’s good to know that there are no production delays, but product deliveries are taking a little longer because of the need to keep everyone safe. Also, it’s still possible to have an Olympus camera serviced if necessary and it will be returned to you nicely sanitised in a new box.

Olympus has also started running virtual 1-2-1 sessions with its ‘Olympus Gurus’ for anyone who has a kit or photography questions. Not surprisingly, there’s been a huge response to this, with many Olympus photographers applying to take up the offer.

Every Saturday at 10:30 am (UK time) Olympus is also running Facebook Live sessions with product specialists. These cover technical aspects of using an Olympus camera as well as more general photography and the subject of each session is determined by popular request.

You can listen in on our full conversation below.
