Fujifilm has announced the GF 30mm F5.6 T/S and GF 110mm F5.6 T/S Macro tilt-shift lenses for its medium format mirrorless cameras.

The Fujifilm Fujinon GF 30mm F5.6 T/S is set to go on sale in October 2023, price £3899 / €4499 / $3999, while the Fujifilm Fujinon GF 110mm F5.6 T/S Macro will reach stores in November 2023, price £3499 / €3999 / $3499.

The standout feature of the GF 30mm F5.6 T/S and GF 110mm F5.6 T/S Macro lenses is their ability to tilt and shift the optical axis. This allows photographers to manipulate focus areas and perspective, making them ideal for high-end architectural, landscape, and commercial photography. The two tilt-shift lenses have an optical design that covers an image circle of approximately 85mm, allowing for a shift adjustment of up to ±15mm. They also feature a unique T/S revolving operation, enabling the tilting and shifting directions to adjust to any angle between perpendicular and parallel while maintaining the image quality from Fujifilm’s medium format cameras such as the new Fujifilm GFX100 II.

Fujifilm Fujinon GF 30mm F5.6 T/S

The wide-angle Fujifilm GF 30mm F5.6 T/S boasts a 30mm focal length that is equivalent to 24mm in 35mm terms. It excels in correcting distortion and ghosting, which are common issues in wide-angle photography. This makes the lens attractive for landscape photography, where sharp focus from the foreground to distant background is crucial, and in architectural or interior photography, where it’s essential to correct distortion.

Fujifilm Fujinon GF 110mm F5.6 T/S Macro

The Fujifilm Fujinon GF110mmF5.6 T/S Macro is a mid-telephoto tilt-shift macro lens with a 110mm focal length equivalent to 87mm in 35mm terms. It can also deliver a maximum reproduction ratio of 0.5x – half-life-size.

This lens is said to effectively suppress aberrations, including distortion, lateral chromatic aberration, and axial chromatic aberration, and deliver outstanding image resolution. Consequently, it’s an attractive option for photographing close-up subjects and still life or commercial photography.

Fujifilm GF lens roadmap

Fujifilm has also unveiled its development roadmap for GF lenses, indicating future additions, including a highly sought-after ultra-telephoto prime lens and a power zoom lens that promises to enhance video capabilities.
