Capture One has announced the release of Capture One Live, a collaboration platform for photographers. Aimed at professionals, it enables remote team members and clients to view, rate, and tag images on any browser or any connected device, wherever they are. It means that clients and team members can follow or direct a shoot live.
Capture One Live integrates with the Capture One workspace and is accessed via an icon in the Toolbar. It’s available in Catalogs and Sessions mode.
After clicking on the icon, the photographer just needs to select the collection they want to share and then, if extra security is necessary, set a password before clicking on ‘Start Sharing’ to activate the Live Session. This Live Session is active for seven days, and there’s a sharable URL to enable others to collaborate.
When a remote client or team member clicks on the link, an interactive browser view opens showing the collection of images with all the file names, colour tags and/ or star ratings. It’s also possible to view any of the images at full size.
Images can be added or removed from the collection at any time whether Capture One is open on the original computer or not. However, if the Catalog or Session is open, the adjustments are shown in real time.
There’s also a ‘Follow’ option that enables the remote team to see any live captures if the photographer is shooting tethered, or follow any edits made in Capture One in real-time.
Capture One Live doesn’t limit the number of active Live Sessions or files shared in a session and there can be up to 25 collaborators at any one time.
