Voigtlander has announced the Cosina Nocton 60mm f/0.95 lens designed for use with Micro Four Thirds mount cameras.

Offering a 35mm equivalent angle of view of 120mm, the Voigtlander Cosina Nocton 60mm f/0.95 allows users to shoot in extreme low light thanks to its fast aperture. It also promises lots of creative bokeh effects.

The Cosina 60mm f/0.95 is comprised of 11 groups of eight lenses and promises a minimum focusing distance of 34cm. The new Voigtlander lens also offers a 35mm equivalent magnification of 1:2.

Other features include a new aperture click switching mechanism that eliminates operational noise when filming videos.

The Voigtlander Cosina Nocton 60mm f/0.95 price tag will be around $1,300 upon its release date in April.
