SkyPixel, DJI pick best aerial photos of 2017

Aerial photography community SkyPixel and DJI have released a gallery of their picks for some of the top aerial photos from 2017.

Ranging in scope from a polar bear on the hunt in Nunavut to a selfie in the middle of Lake Baikal, the images are highlights from the ongoing 2017 SkyPixel Photo Storytelling Contest.

The competition is accepting entries up through 29 December 2017 in three categories: Landscape, Portrait and Story (which requires a series of images taken from the ground and in the air).

A total of $15,000 worth of prizes are up for grabs, and the final winners will be announced on January 31, 2018.
