Sigma has added a new prime lens to its Contemporary range, introducing the Sigma 45mm f/2.8 DG DN, price tag £549.99 / $599.
Available for Sony E- and Leica L-mounts, the Sigma 45mm f/2.8 boasts a seven-blade aperture and a lens construction comprising 8 elements in 7 groups.
The compact lens weighs just 215g and measures just 1.8 inches. The lens barrel is made of metal and is weather-sealed for dust and water.
While capable of smooth bokeh effects, Sigma says the 45mm f/2.8 DG DN is also designed for sharp rendering when stopped down.
It also supports Face and Eye Detection AF, as well as autofocus in video mode. You can also switch the 45mm f/2.8 DG DN to full-time manual mode.
Other features include a minimum focusing distance of 24cm and a maximum magnification ratio of 1.4x.
