A 14-24mm is one of the handiest lenses you can own, from ultra-wide to wide its field-of-view is ideal for capturing stylistic images.

The new Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 DG DN is part of the highly sort after A | Art range and offers a creative solution to photographers looking for a high-quality alternative to the manufacturers own.

The lens will have an aperture range of between f/2.8 – f/22 with 11 rounded diaphragm blades.

The lens has been produced for the latest full-frame mirrorless cameras and will be available in L-Mount and Sony E-Mount.

Designed for high-resolution sensors, it features low dispersion glass elements and NPC (Nano Porous Coating). In total there ate 18 elements in 13 groups.

One FLD glass and five SLD glass elements are arranged to minimise chromatic aberration across the frame. Three aspherical lenses, one of which is a large-diameter aspherical lens, is used to reduce coma flare.

Wide angled lenses don’t necessarily mean you need to shoot landscapes and the Sigma 14-24mm will have a minimum focal distance of just 28cm and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:7.3. Couple with the wide f/2.8 lens that will enable fantastic creative control.

The lens will be available from August 2019 and will set you back a cool £1459.99 that’s inc VAT. Pre-order the lens from Park Cameras in the UK for Sony E-mount or for Leica L-mount. Pre-order the new Sigma lens from B&H Photo Video in the US for Sony E-mount or for Leica L-mount.
