Huawei will launch the world’s first smartphone with three cameras when it introduces the P20 next month, according to a report by Forbes.

Images of the Huawei P20 have appeared on the Chinese microblogging social network Weibo, which clearly show its three-camera design.

According to Forbes, the Huawei P20 will boast three rear cameras, allowing users to produce still images with 40-megapixel resolution. And the front camera is said to offer 24-megapixel resolution.

The Huawei P20 is also said to offer a 5x hybrid zoom. What’s more, the P20 should be thinner than the Mate 10 Pro, and offer a 6-inch OLED display.

The name P20 is a guess, but seems logical given the P10 was launched last year. Camera Jabber is among the media organisations that received an invite to its launch event in Paris on 27 march, which the company says will be “our flagship handset launch where you will experience a new era in AI.”

Once again, the Huawei’s latest smartphone camera will be developed alongside Leica via their strategic partnership.
