Panasonic has announced the LUMIX S 35mm F1.8, the fourth addition to its fixed focal length series of f/1.8 lenses.
The new L-mount lens joins the 85mm, 50mm and 24mm existing lenses in the range. The Panasonic LUMIX S 35mm F1.8 is comprised of 11 elements in nine groups, which includes three aspherical lenses and three ED lenses to suppress chromatic aberrations.
The LUMIX S 35mm F1.8 promises silent operation with your camera’s AF system with the sensor drive at a max 240fps. Sensitivity can also be selected from 90 to 360 degrees by 30 degrees to enable intended focus operation.
Videographers will also appreciate its mechanism that suppresses focus breathing, and a micro-step aperture control for smooth exposure change.
The LUMIX S 35mm F1.8 weighs just 295g and comes with a rugged dust- and splash-resistant design.
The Panasonic LUMIX S 35mm F1.8 price tag will be £579.99 / €659.99, with a release date of mid-November.
