Olympus has announced the M.Zuiko Digital ED 8-25mm F4.0 PRO, a new wide-angle zoom lens aimed at landscape, nature, travel, archicectural and portrait photographers.
Offering an equivalent focal length of 16-50mm, the new M.Zuiko Digital ED 8-25mm F4.0 PRO is constructed of 16 elements in 10 groups. This includes two aspherical elements and one Super ED element.
The Micro Four Thirds mount lens offers a maximum aperture of f/4 and a minimum of f/22. OM Digital says its seven-blade circular aperture also provides excellent bokeh.
Other features include a close focusing distance of 0.23m and a maximum magnification ratio of 0.21x.
The new M.Zuiko Digital ED 8-25mm F4.0 PRO weighs 411g and offers a 72mm filter diameter.

The Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 8-25mm F4.0 PRO is set to go on sale at the beginning of July for £899/$1,099/99 including the lens hood.
