Samsung haas published new teaser videos for the Galaxy S9, promising a ‘camera reimagined’ and giving hints at its low-light and slow-motion prowess.
Samsung UK published the video below, and the following statement on its website today, showing snippets of what the Galaxy S9 will be able to do:
Imagine a camera that can see more than your eyes – one that can help you capture every moment and change the way you experience the world. Now imagine it’s part of the device you already use, every single day.
By taking a fresh perspective and exploring new frontiers, we’ve crafted a smartphone packed full of life-enriching features, transforming the common device into something that allows you to do what you can’t.
Find out more on February 25. We didn’t just update the camera. We rethought the entire camera experience.
Meanwhile, Samsung’s official South Korean YouTube channel published a trio of short videos giving away even more. This first clip shows nighttime footage captured with the Galaxy S9.
And this second video is perhaps the most interesting. While the 15sec clip shows a mix of extreme sports and fast-moving subjects, at the end it shifts into ultra-slow motion.
Which makes us wonder about that 1000fps smartphone camera we reported Samsung was developing last year.
Finally, this short clip appears to suggest that the Galaxy S9 camera will be able to turn your images into cartoons and emojis.
