Hasselblad and drone-maker DJI have partnered to make a professional six-rotor drone that boasts a 50-megapixel medium format sensor – roughly twice the size found in top-end full-frame cameras.
The succinctly named A5D-M600 drone is the first joint product following DJI’s recent investment in Hasselblad, a Swedish manufacturer of professional and medium-format camera bodies.
The drone combines the DJI Matrice 600 six-rotor body design with Hasselblad’s A5D aerial camera and boasts a 50mm f/3.5 lens.
The drone can carry weight up to 6kg and is compatible with DJI’s Ronin-MX gimbal system.
The A5D-M600 drone comes equipped with six intelligent batteries, and A3 flight controller, a Lightbridge 2 Professional HD transmission system and a dust-proof propulsion system.
What’s more, it features a weather-sealed body design that aims to prevent dust from entering the optical system.
