Vanguard has just announced the release of the Alta Pro 3VLT series, with this new tripod aimed at video creators and photographers who require mobility without compromising on stability. Weighing as little as 1,155g and folding down to 54cm, this tripod is ideal for adventurers who travel off the beaten track. The tripods slim profile of just 6cm in diameter enhances its portability, while the innovative CNC-machined levelling system replaces the traditional central column.
This levelling system is crafted from aircraft-grade aluminium, allowing precise vertical tilt adjustments of ±15° and smooth 360° rotations. Combined with 23mm-diameter legs capable of supporting up to 5kg, the Alta Pro 3VLT offers stability across various terrains. Rubber and spiked feet ensure versatility on any surface.
The tripod comes equipped with either the traditional closed-bridge VEO PV-10 video head or the open-bridge VEO PV-12 head, both Arca-compatible and featuring tilt and pan locks for seamless control. A unique sprung counterbalance system further aids video stabilization, making it perfect for long-lens photography and spotting scopes.
If you want to expand on the functionality of your tripod then the two 1/4″ threads on the canopy, are there to support microphones, lights, or external displays.
