Storage maker Glyph has announced a new Atom Pro NVMe SSD that promises write speeds up to 2,450MB/s for users working with 4K, 8K and VR footage.
With a price tag starting at $249.95, the Atom Pro is Glyph’s fastest drive to date and follows the company’s line of Atom and Atom RAID portable SSDs.
Along with its 2,450MB/s write speed the Atom Pro also promises read speeds of up to 2,800MB/s. It’s also shock, vibration, dust and sand resistant with an MIL-Standard 810F rating.
Glyph has also rolled out a new Thunderbolt 3 Dock with more ports and promising faster charge times.
Priced starting at $299.95, the Thunderbolt 3 Dock offers two Thunderbolt 3 ports, supports Displayport 1.2, SD card slot (UHS-II), two USB 3.0 ports, USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C port, separate audio and mic out, Gigabit ethernet and a user upgradeable NVMe SSD slot.
The dock supports 87W of power delivery, a single 5K @ 60hz display or two 4K @ 60hz displays. It also delivers SSD speeds up to 1,500MB/s read and write.
Both products will be released sometime in Q1 of this year, Glyph says.
