Fujifilm has revealed its updated road map for G-mount optics, which includes new wide-angle and portrait GF lenses.

Bringing the total GF lineup to 13 lenses, Fujifilm’s new G-mount roadmap shows the addition of a GF 30mm f/3.5 R WR wide-angle prime and a GF80mm f/1.7 R WR fast-aperture portrait lens.

Firm release dates aren’t given; however the roadmap suggests the GF30mm lens will be announced this year, with the GF80mm to follow in 2021. Fujifilm says:

Wide-angle prime lens “GF30mmF3.5 R WR”
This is a compact wide prime lens with the focal length of 30mm (equivalent to 24mm in the 35mm format), which is suitable for landscape photography. This lens is designed to be compact and lightweight with the target size and weight to be similar to the GF45mmF2.8 R WR.

Large-aperture standard lens “GF80mmF1.7 R WR”
This will be the lens with the widest aperture in the GF lens range and have a focal length of 80mm (equivalent to 63mm in the 35mm film format), which is suitable for portraits and low light scenes. The image quality will be comparable to the highly regarded GF110mmF2 R LM WR, but offer a wider angle of view and a more compact form factor.

Fujifilm will continue to expand the lens line-up to support a wide range of photography styles and requirements.
