Canon could be poised to release a new EOS 2000D DSLR sometime in early 2018 after its name was spotted on a registry.
Let’s Go Digital spotted the name Canon EOS 2000D registered with the Russian Inspection Agency EA Union.
No features or other specifications were listed on the registry, save for that the new Canon camera will be available with the EF-S 18-55mm IS II kit lens.
The Canon EOS 2000D will likely replace the long-in-the-tooth EOS 1300D and take the mantle of being Canon’s new entry-level DSLR.
It will likely sit just below the Canon EOS 200D / Rebel SL2 and feature a 24-megapixel sensor.
