Angelbird Technologies has announced two new CFexpress Type B memory cards to its AV PRO range of memory cards, introducing the AV PRO CFX and AV PRO CFX XT.
CFexpress media promise 3.5x faster transfer speeds than CFast cards, and Angelbird says the AV PRO CFX and AV PRO CFX XT offer read speeds of up to 1700MB/s and write speeds of 1400MB/s.
The AV PRO CFX will be available in capacities of 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB, while the AV PRO CFX XT is available in capacities of 80, 160, 320 and 650GB.
Angelbird is also releasing a CFEXPRESS CARD READER which performs at speeds in tandem with the AV PRO CFX and AV PRO CFX XT cards and stacks as a modular system with Angelbird’s CFast 2.0 and SD card readers.
Both Angelbird CFexpress cards retain the XQD form factor, making them backwards compatible with cameras that use XQD memory (provided their manufacturers issue a firmware update).
Price information and availability will be revealed at a later date, Angelbird says. The new CFexpress cards follow SanDisk’s quiet launch of its new CFexpress cards earlier this week.
