Zhong Yi Optics has announced the Mitakon 135mm f/2.5 APO, price tag $299, a new portrait lens available in Canon EF, Canon RF, Nikon F, Nikon Z and Sony FE mounts.
A redesigned upgrade of its previous 135mm f/2.8, the Mitakon 135mm f/2.5 APO promises great control over depth of field with its nine-blade circular aperture and fast f/2.5 aperture.
The Mitakon 135mm f/2.5 APO is comprised of two Super Extra-low Dispersion elements and two Ultra-high Refraction Index glass elements to provide optimum sharpness and reduce distortion. Overall, the new Mitakon lens is comprised of nine elements in seven groups.
The new Mitakon 135mm f/2.5 APO has an internal focus design and provides an 18.2-degree angle of view. It weighs 845g and measures in at 79mm x 137mm.
Other features include a minimum focus distance of 1m, a 0.1x maximum reproduction ratio and a 67mm filter thread.
The Mitakon 135mm f/2.5 APO is available now from Zhony Yi’s website and other retailers.
