Venus Optics has posted sample footage from its new upcoming lens, the Laowa 15mm f/2, which it will release for Sony E mount cameras.
Venus Optics debuted a prototype of what it says is the world’s fastest 15mm lens last year at Photokina.
In the footage released in the video below, the Laowa 15mm f/2 certainly seems to boast very good stabilisation.
The sample Laowa 15mm f/2 footage was shot by photographer Brandon Li, who was sent a pre-release model of the new Venus Optics lens to try out.
Posting the footage on his Youtube channel, Li says: “It’s almost too good to be true – ultra-wide, crazy low light performance and zero distortion (according to Laowa). I took it for a quick spin with the Sony a7sii and Zhiyun Crane gimbal.”
