Lastolite by Manfrotto has announced the release of an innovative new Chroma Key background collection that will appeal to videographers on the move.
The new StudioLink Chroma Key backgrounds are designed to be portable and expandable. The 3x3m kits are available with covers and connection kits in Chroma Green or Blue.
As a modular system, the new backgrounds can be expanded to meet your needs, from small YouTube productions to broadcast and film.
The Chroma Key backgrounds are held in place by a collapsible aluminium rigid frames on to which fast clips are used to clip on the Chroma sheets.
Once the panel has been assembled, each 3x3m panel can be linked easily to another in a variety of configuration; side-by-side or in a curvature to a full 360º.
Using standard grip equipment, the panels can even be stacked to create a second tier of screens.
The linking system is made possible by using the StudioLink Connection Kit, which is a separate purchase.
To ensure the frame and connection between each panel are hidden each clip on the chroma key cover incorporates a six-inch sewn in skirt on the bottom edge to conceal the aluminium frame.
Once you’ve finished your shoot, the Chroma backgrounds and frames can be packed inside the provided carry case. This measures 103 x 19 x 14cm and weighs in at 7.5kg, making it a great portable solution.
