UGREEN puts a liquid cooling pump inside a power bank

Wireless charging has a heat problem, and it has quietly got worse. Qi2 25W delivers nearly 70% more power than the old 15W standard, and all that extra energy has to go somewhere — which in practice means throttled speeds, a warm phone and, over time, a battery that holds less charge. UGREEN’s answer, launched at IFA 2026, is to put an actual liquid cooling pump inside a power bank. Details are on UGREEN’s site.

A micro-pump in a power bank

The MagFlow Pro Magnetic Power Bank is the headline, and UGREEN claims it as the first 10,000mAh Qi2 25W magnetic power bank with active micro-pump liquid cooling.

Its CryoPulse system combines a micro-pump circulating coolant directly at the heat source with VC copper heat-spreading foil and a separated internal layout. UGREEN’s own testing recorded peak temperatures up to 10°C below a 48°C industry reference. There is a transparent window so you can watch the coolant circulating, which is either delightful or unnecessary depending on your temperament.

The practical numbers: Qi2 25W wireless, up to 45W wired through a built-in USB-C cable, and an iPhone 17 Pro Max to 50% in roughly 40 minutes wirelessly or 65% in 30 minutes on the cable. It charges three devices at once, uses high-density ATL cells rated to 800 cycles while retaining 90% capacity, and has a display showing wattage, temperature, battery level and cycle count.

The other two

The MagFlow Pro 3-in-1 Stand takes a different cooling approach, using a thermoelectric module with a fan rated at 15dB or below. UGREEN says the magnetic surface sits at around 11°C with cooling enabled, cutting peak phone temperatures by up to 18°C against a standard charger. It charges an iPhone, an Apple Watch via an MFW-certified module and AirPods simultaneously — iPhone 17 Pro Max to 50% in about 26 minutes, Apple Watch Series 11 to 50% in around 19. ThermalGuard sensors check temperature 200 times a second.

The MagFlow 2-in-1 Foldable is the travel option at 60 x 72 x 27mm, folding flat and opening into a stand. Qi2 25W to a phone plus 5W to earbuds, 30W total, with 11N magnetic alignment.

Why this matters on a shoot

Phone charging is not obviously photography kit, but the thermal problem is one photographers hit constantly. If you use your phone as a monitor, run a gimbal app, or shoot video on it, the device is already generating heat — and putting a hot charger against a hot phone is how you end up with a thermal shutdown mid-take.

Charging while filming is exactly the scenario where conventional magnetic chargers throttle hardest, so a pack that actively pulls heat away rather than simply tolerating it addresses a real failure point. The MagFlow Pro’s 45W wired output is also enough to be useful beyond phones — that covers most camera batteries charged over USB-C, and some smaller laptops.

The honest caveat is that all the thermal figures come from UGREEN’s own testing against an unnamed industry reference, and “up to” is carrying weight in every one of them. A micro-pump is also a moving part in a device that previously had none, which raises a durability question nobody can answer yet.
