Fujifilm has announced the launch of the instax mini Evo Cinema, a striking 3-in-1 hybrid instant camera that allows users to capture still photos, create short videos, and print images—all from a single device. Inspired by vintage 8mm cameras and packed with digital features, the mini Evo Cinema debuts as the most creatively flexible model in the instax range to date.

At the heart of the mini Evo Cinema experience is its unique Eras Dial, which offers 10 distinct visual styles modelled on the aesthetics of decades past—from the grainy charm of the 1930s to the bold saturation of the 1980s. Each setting transforms the look of your image or video to reflect the visual character of its era. The Degree Control Dial, positioned on the lens, allows for deeper customisation by adjusting contrast, colour and texture within each chosen era.

For even greater personalisation, users can apply thematic frames using the Frame Switch, further stylising their content before shooting. Whether capturing stills or short clips, switching between CINE and STILL modes is seamless. In CINE mode, users can shoot up to 15 seconds of video directly on the camera, with extended editing and sequencing available via the instax mini Evo app. Videos are stitched automatically and can be digitally stored or shared with printed QR codes that link back to the footage.

The Zoom Lever adds further control with built-in digital zoom, while additional features like remote shooting, selfie mirror, and a high-res LCD screen enhance usability. The My Gallery feature in the companion app lets users categorise creations and store printed content digitally with the iconic instax mini border.

With its sleek black body, textured grip, and premium detailing, the mini Evo Cinema pays homage to Fujifilm’s classic FUJICA Single-8 camera, bringing analogue style to modern hybrid functionality. The camera includes a print lever for tactile output, USB-C and microSD ports, a self-timer, and comes bundled with a viewfinder and hand strap for a fully considered user experience.
