Datacolor has announced a major software upgrade to its SpyderPro calibration suite, positioning the new release as not just a tool for achieving accurate colour, but as a complete workflow enhancer for creative professionals. Available from 6 November 2025, the updated SpyderPro software targets the demands of today’s hybrid image and video creators, supporting ultra-bright displays up to 12,000 nits and adding a host of new professional-grade features.
The highlight of this release is its support for 3D LUT (.cube) export, a feature usually reserved for higher-end grading tools. This allows precise calibration for compatible video monitors, making the SpyderPro a compelling option for filmmakers and colourists working in cinema and broadcast environments.
Another standout addition is Device Preview Plus, which lets users simulate how content will appear on various devices and in print. It enables side-by-side comparisons, pixel sampling, batch conversions, and sophisticated export options, ensuring colour consistency across platforms.

For professionals working in varied lighting environments, the new Light Meter Integration allows calibration to be dynamically adapted to ambient lighting using Datacolor’s own LightColor Meter or other lux-capable devices.
Datacolor has also integrated Content Credentials (C2PA), a security-forward move that enables users to embed authorship, editing history, and content provenance into digital files. This is a significant step in protecting digital integrity, particularly in the AI and image manipulation era.
“SpyderPro is more than a calibration tool, it’s a workflow revolution,” commented Heath Barber, Director of Product Management at Datacolor. “It helps creators work smarter and share with confidence.”
