Canon has today announced two powerful additions to its professional PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) camera lineup: the CR-N400 and CR-N350. Unveiled on 5 November 2025, these new models aim to redefine the standards for remote production across broadcast, education, and corporate environments, combining high-end imaging with cutting-edge connectivity and control.

The Canon CR-N400 is tailored for high-end broadcast operations, packing a 1.0-inch CMOS sensor and powered by the DIGIC DV7 image processor. It delivers 4K UHD at 60fps, supports HDR formats (PQ and HLG), and features 20x optical zoom (with 40x Advanced Zoom in Full HD). Key professional interfaces such as 12G-SDI, Genlock, Time Code, and Dual XLR audio inputs ensure seamless integration into complex multi-camera workflows. Its robust build and cinematic image output make it a perfect choice for live studios, outside broadcasts, and high-demand venues where reliability and image precision are non-negotiable.

Meanwhile, the Canon CR-N350 takes the capabilities of its predecessor, the CR-N300, to a new level. Also powered by the DIGIC DV7, it matches the CR-N400 in delivering 4K UHD at 60fps and HDR video, while offering the same 40x Advanced Zoom. The CR-N350 is designed with flexible IP streaming and integration in mind, supporting vertical and horizontal streaming formats for hybrid events and social platforms. Enhanced auto-tracking allows it to follow presenters smoothly across the frame, making it a smart solution for lecture capture, corporate communication, and event streaming.

Both models offer expansive IP protocol support, including NDI|HX2, RTMP/RTMPS, SRT, Canon XC Protocol and FreeD, making them easy to incorporate into existing AV setups. From live commerce and worship events to large-scale corporate presentations, these PTZ cameras provide a high degree of flexibility and professionalism in compact form.

With the launch of the CR-N400 and CR-N350, Canon continues to strengthen its presence in the remote production market, offering tools that balance ease of use with exceptional imaging performance.
