Canon has officially introduced the EOS R6 Mark III, a high-performance full-frame mirrorless camera designed for photographers and filmmakers demanding both speed and resolution. Sitting above the EOS R6 Mark II in Canon’s EOS R lineup, this third-generation model features significant upgrades across resolution, autofocus tracking, and video functionality.

At its core lies a newly developed 32.5-megapixel sensor paired with an electronic shutter capable of 40 frames per second continuous shooting. Ideal for sports, wildlife, and event photography, the camera’s buffer can now handle up to 150 RAW images in a single burst when using CFexpress cards—ensuring you’ll never miss the moment.
Canon has also enhanced subject tracking algorithms, now able to recognise and follow more complex subjects including horses, trains, and planes. Its ‘Register People Priority’ function allows users to pre-select up to 10 faces for tracking—crucial in high-pressure settings like weddings or red carpets.
Low-light performance remains a strength, with ISO up to 64,000 and up to 8.5 stops of combined image stabilisation, depending on the lens used. For video, the EOS R6 Mark III can capture oversampled 4K 60p from 7K RAW Light footage, and supports 4K 120p and Full HD 180fps slow-motion options. Additional video-centric features include Open Gate recording, 4-channel audio, waveform monitoring, and proxy recording.
