BenQ has announced the PD2732U, a 27-inch 4K monitor that leads its new Creative Pro monitor portfolio for photographers, designers, video editors and production teams who need colour they can trust from capture to delivery.
The headline here is consistency. The BenQ PD2732U covers 99% Adobe RGB, 99% DCI-P3, 100% sRGB and 100% Rec.709, making it a strong fit for creators who move between print, web, video and packaging work. That is increasingly how many photographers and hybrid creators work now: one project may need retouched stills, social media crops, short-form video, print proofs and client-ready files, all from the same editing station.
For me, the interesting point is that BenQ is not simply selling the PD2732U as a high-resolution display. It is positioning the monitor as a colour reference point for an entire workflow. Each unit is factory calibrated and ships with a calibration report, with BenQ quoting an average Delta E ≤2. The monitor is also Calman Verified and Pantone Validated, including Pantone SkinTone Validation, which should appeal to portrait photographers, product shooters and anyone working where colour accuracy is a client-facing issue.
If you are choosing a screen for editing, our guide to the best monitor for photo editing explains why panel type, colour gamut and resolution matter. The PD2732U’s IPS panel, 4K resolution and wide Adobe RGB coverage tick many of the boxes we look for in a serious editing monitor, especially if your work includes print. We have also looked at the importance of colour space selection in our guide to setting up and changing monitor profiles for video and stills, which is directly relevant here because the PD2732U includes modes for Adobe RGB, DCI-P3, Display P3, Rec.709, sRGB, HDR and M-book.
BenQ’s AQCOLOR technology sits at the centre of the Creative Pro line. On the PD2732U, that means full-screen uniformity correction, colour tolerance management and support for recognised colour standards. The monitor also works with AQCOLOR Pilot, with BenQ listing Mac support for late July 2026 and Windows support for early October 2026. Display ColorTalk is designed to help match colours across multiple displays, which could be useful in a studio where more than one screen is used for editing, retouching or proofing.
Connectivity is another major part of the story. Thunderbolt 4 provides video, data and up to 90W power delivery through a single cable, while a second Thunderbolt 4 port supports daisy chaining. Smart KVM support lets users control multiple systems from one keyboard and mouse setup, which is helpful if you work between a MacBook and desktop workstation. Mac users also get M-book Mode, iDevice Color Sync and iKeyboard Control through BenQ’s Display Pilot 2 software.
The PD2732U follows in a line of BenQ displays aimed at photographers and content creators. We have previously reviewed the BenQ SW321C, a larger 32-inch 4K model with 99% Adobe RGB coverage, and the BenQ SW270C, which impressed us with its colour and luminance uniformity. The PD2732U feels slightly different, though, because BenQ is pushing it as part of a broader Creative Pro identity, with workflow integration and screen-to-output confidence placed front and centre.
Jeffrey Hsieh, Director of the Consumer Line of Business at BenQ, said: “BenQ Creative Pro represents our commitment to serving as a trusted color authority, ensuring every color decision on-screen translates accurately into the final deliverable.” The US spelling is BenQ’s, but the message is clear enough: the PD2732U is aimed at creators who cannot afford to second-guess what they are seeing on screen.
