If you’ve ever thought about dusting off your old film photography gear, here is some solid evidence that a great lens never goes out of date.
Youtuber Mathieu Stern, who challenges himself to shoot with all manner of lenses from the bizarre to the budget, recently got his hands on a large format camera lens from 1880, one of the first lenses with an internal iris.
Stern mounted the lens and shot some video with it, and results are surprisingly amazing.

Take a look at the dream-like footage and see if you’re as impressed as we are!
