Both entry-level Nikon DSLRs are listed as ‘Old Products’ on the Nikon Japan website, which traditionally means the company is phasing them out.
The Nikon D5600 and D3500 have been big sellers for the company, making this move somewhat surprising.
It could suggest that Nikon plans to release an entry-level Z series mirrorless camera to sit below the Nikon Z50 as it continues to phase out DSLR production. This is one we’ll be tracking in our ongoing camera rumours guide.
