Meike has introduced a new addition to its lens portfolio, the Full Frame 85mm F1.4 Auto Focus Large Aperture Portrait Lens, now available for Sony E mount and Nikon Z mount. This lens is designed for portrait photography, combining a large aperture with advanced features for Sony and Nikon users.
The Full Frame 85mm F1.4 lens is notable for its manual aperture setting, allowing photographers to manually adjust the aperture from F1.4 to F16. For Nikon Z-mount cameras, the lens’s manual aperture ring should be set to the A stop for optimal performance in S, P, and Auto modes. This versatility ensures that photographers can achieve the desired depth of field and exposure levels in various shooting scenarios.
Equipped with an STM stepping motor, the lens promises silent and smooth focusing, enhancing the shooting experience, especially in situations where noise sensitivity is paramount. Additionally, it supports AF (Auto Focus), electronic aperture adjustment, and EXIF information transmission, making it a highly functional tool for modern digital photography.
The 85mm f/1.4 lens is engineered for high-resolution portrait shooting. It excels in producing sharp, clear images at any aperture, with the ability to achieve beautiful background blur (bokeh), which is essential for portrait photography. The optical structure of the lens allows for the large aperture of f/1.4, and multi-layer coating technology on both sides of the lens ensures realistic colour rendition.
