Insta360 has announced the ONE X2, its latest flagship 360 camera which brings 5.7K stabilised video with a new range of AI-powered editing tools.

The new Insta360 ONE X2 weighs just 149g and can shoot 360 5.7K video at up to 30fps, 4K at up to 50fps and 3K at up to 100fps for slow motion spherical footage.

In Steady Cam mode, the Insta360 ONE X2 shoots stabilised, ultra-wide traditional flat videos from one of the camera’s lenses at 2560×1440 at up to 50fps.

InstaPano is a new panoramic shooting mode that captures panoramas in one touch. MultiView shooting mode is aimed at vloggers and allows users to film two angles at the same time with different fields of view. This mode also includes face tracking.

Insta360’s FlowState stabilisation is also on board, with improved algorithms. The ONE X2 also employs the Invisible Selfie Stick effect introduced with the ONE X.

Shot Lab is Insta 360’s new editing suite within the companion app. Promising ‘continuous updates,’ Insta360 has provided new 360 video editing templates that can add cinematic effects such as Dolly Zoom and stop Motion.

Other editing templates include Clone Trail and Shadow Clone for cloning out your body from footage, while Ghost Town will remove people altogether.

Shot Lab also includes Deep Track, which can be set via voice command, and will track human, animal or other moving subjects. AutoFrame also scans your 360 videos and photos to find the best angles.

Other features include IPX8 waterproofing and a 360 touch display.

The Insta360 ONE X2 price tag is $429.99.
