Fujifilm has announced the show-mount EF-60 flashgun and Wireless Commander EF-W1, priced at £389 and £199 respectively.
The Fujifilm EF-60 is the company’s first radio-controlled wireless shoe mount flash and boasts a Guide Number of 60.
You can adjust the flash head by 90 degrees upward or 180 degrees left or right in order to bounce light off the ceiling or walls.
The EF-60 uses a xenon flashtube as well as a high-luminance white LED light , and flash coverage ranges from 24mm to 200mm and can be extended to approximately 16mm when you use the EF-60’s built-in diffuser.
Other features include TTL mode, FP High-Speed Sync and an optical wireless mode for creating more stable wireless systems in areas with poor radio communication.
The EF-60 also employs a built-in receiver for its wireless communication system, called NAS, or Nissin Air System. When used with Fujifilm’s Wireless Commander EF-W1 or the Nissin Air10s you can then trigger the EF-60 remotely.
The EF-60 and EF-W1 are compatible with the following Fujifilm cameras:
GFX100, GFX 50S, GFX 50R, X-H1, X-Pro2, X-Pro3, X-T1, X-T2, X-T3, X-T4, X-T20, X-T30, X-E3, X100F, X100V.
