CYME has announced the release of Peakto 2.0, the latest update to its AI-powered photo management software. This latest version packs in the latest state-of-the-art features developed to improve the ease of use and overall experience of using the software to organise and manage images.

Peakto 2.0 builds on the management features and now incorporates many advanced functionalities that help simplify the management of your digital photo and video collections. Some of the key features include AI-boosted face recognition, a unique timeline view, global search, and offline video browsing capabilities.

AI-Powered Face Recognition: Peakto 2.0 uses advanced AI to tag people in photos instantly, saving time and improving organisation. This feature also retrieves faces that are already annotated in Apple Photos and Lightroom.

Video Frame Search: Quickly find specific moments within videos, streamlining the editing and review process.

The update also includes tweaks to the user interface that make navigating the application far more intuitive. The update also includes a selection of new tools for advanced filtering, content sorting, a background menu bar mode, and the ability to detach the photo preview and EXIF information panel from the Peakto Sidebar.

Peakto 2.0 supports a wide range of catalogues, including Apple Photos, Aperture, Lightroom and Lightroom Classic, Luminar Neo, Capture One, ON1 Photo RAW, Pixelmator Pro, DxO PhotoLab/PureRAW, FotoMagico, iView Media, and more. It is optimised for Apple Silicon (M1, M2, M3) but also runs on Mac Intel systems with a powerful GPU, requiring macOS 12 (Monterey) or later.

I’ve been using Peakto for a while, and the new 2.0 update sounds like a game-changer! The AI-powered face recognition and unique timeline view are exactly what I’ve been looking for to manage my extensive photo collection.
