Godox has officially launched the iT20 and iT22, two ultra-compact on-camera flash units aimed at mirrorless camera users who value portability without compromising performance. Designed to be lightweight yet powerful, these new mini flashes are tailored for photographers working in events, street photography, travel, and quick-paced portrait sessions.
Both flashes feature a minimalist design that complements the small form factor of modern mirrorless systems. Despite their size, the iT20 and iT22 provide impressive output: the iT20 offers a Guide Number (GN) of 20 (ISO 100), while the iT22 increases this slightly with a GN of 22. This makes them ideal for fill light, subtle key lighting, or bouncing in tight interior spaces.
Each unit includes an integrated lithium battery and charges conveniently via USB-C, offering fast recycling times and up to 105 full-power flashes on a single charge. Power output is adjustable across multiple levels, and users can trigger the flash manually or wirelessly via Godox’s 2.4GHz X system, making them compatible with other Godox gear.
Godox also offers full TTL and HSS support for several camera brands, including Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, OM System, and Leica. The flashes have a tilting head for bounce flash and a built-in modelling light for previewing the effect of the flash before capture.
With the iT20 and iT22, Godox is clearly targeting users who want an ultra-portable lighting tool that integrates seamlessly into a lightweight kit. These flashes are particularly appealing to creators who want to travel light while still enjoying creative lighting flexibility.
