The full-frame mirrorless Zenit-M, price tag $6,995, which boasts a Leica M-mount is now released and available for purchase in the United States.
As well as the Zenit-M camera body, you get a kit that includes a 35mm f/1.0 Zenith M lens, a case, collector’s card and a commemorative book.
A collaboration between Leica and the Russian camera maker, the Zenit-M is effectively a re-badged Leica M (Typ 240) with Zenit software.
Announced last year at Photokina 2018, the Zenit-M and its lens – and all their components – were made in Russia.
Though it is Leica M-mount, the Zenit-M is programmed with lens profiles for the Zenitar 35mm f/1.0, 50mm f/1.0 and 21mm f/2.8 lenses. Any other M-mount lenses used will not do automatic corrections.
