Venus Optics has announced new Canon EF and Pentax K-mount versions of its Laowa 100mm f/2.8 2x Ultra Macro APO lens, price tag from $449.
First launched in 2018, the Laowa 100mm f/2.8 2x Ultra Macro APO offers 2x magnification, and its Apochromat (APO) design limits chromatic aberrations.
Venus Optics has previously launched a Canon EF-mount version of this lens that offered automatic aperture control via the camera. This new EF-mount option provides manual control.
Its stepless aperture control is designed for videographers, and the aperture ring is clickless to provide smooth, quiet adjustments.
The Laowa 100mm f/2.8 2x Ultra Macro APO version for Pentax K-mount cameras features an automatic aperture coupling lever that allows you to control the aperture via the camera body.
Both the Laowa 100mm f/2.8 2x Ultra Macro APO EF- and K-mount versions are available for purchase now.
