DJI has introduced the DJI RS 4 Pro Combo (2026), a new professional stabiliser kit designed to bring its flagship Ronin gimbal and SDR image transmission workflow into one ready-to-shoot package. Announced by DJI Europe on 18 May 2026, the kit combines the DJI RS 4 Pro with DJI SDR Transmission, aiming to make professional monitoring, control and stabilisation easier for solo operators and smaller production teams.

What catches my eye here is that this is not simply a gimbal refresh. The RS 4 Pro was already DJI’s top-end handheld stabiliser in the Ronin line, with a 4.5kg payload and carbon fibre arms that make it suitable for many mirrorless and cinema camera builds. By pairing it with SDR Transmission, DJI is clearly targeting shooters who want fewer boxes, fewer batteries and less rigging friction on set.

The SDR transmitter can be mounted directly to the RS 4 Pro and powered through the stabiliser, which should appeal to anyone who has spent too long balancing a camera only to start adding separate wireless video accessories afterwards. DJI says the setup brings stabilisation, transmission, monitoring, focus tracking and control into a more integrated workflow, which is exactly the sort of simplification small crews tend to appreciate.

For monitoring, the DJI SDR Transmission system supports 1080p/60fps live feeds at up to 20Mbps, with latency quoted as low as 35ms when excluding camera and screen display latency. The system can transmit up to 3km under FCC conditions, while the DJI specs list 2km under CE/SRRC/MIC conditions.

I also like that DJI has kept the collaboration angle in view. The system can output multiple SDR and Wi-Fi signals, and the receiver can connect to monitors via SDI or HDMI, while smartphones and tablets can connect through USB-C or Wi-Fi. For a director, focus puller or client monitor setup, that gives the kit a much broader appeal than a stabiliser alone.

The DJI Store listing for the 2026 combo also states that it includes additional professional accessories such as the DJI SDR Transmission Combo and DJI Focus Pro Motor, which makes it a more complete production bundle than the standard RS 4 Pro package.
