Tamron has announced the 17-70mm F/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD, price tag £829.99 / €974.99 / $799, a new fast aperture zoom lens for Fujifilm’s APS-C format X mount cameras.
The Tamron 17-70mm F/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD features a maximum aperture of f/2.8 across the entire focal range, which provides a 4.1x zoom ratio. Its focal range is the full-frame equivalent of 25.5-105mm.
It also features Tamron’s Vibration Compensation, which uses AI technology to help reduce camera shake. It can also focus on subjects as close as 19cm at the wide-angle end of the focal range, and from 39cm at the telephoto end.
The Tamron 17-70mm F/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD weighs just 530g, making lightweight and portable. The new Tamron lens is also designed with a moisture-resistant construction with seals along all of the moving surfaces. Tamron has also added a Fluorine coating to the front element to repel water and oil.
The Tamron 17-70mm F/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD for Fujifilm X mount joins the existing Sony E-mount version in Tamron’s range.
