Tamron has announced three new prime lenses for Sony E-mount, introducing the 20mm, 24mm and 35mm f/2.8 Di III OSD M1:2.
Designed for Sony’s full-frame E-mount cameras, the trio of new Tamron prime lenses are compatible with Sony’s Eye AF and Fast Hybrid AF technology, among other camera-specific features.
Tamron emphasises that its new fixed focal lenses can focus very close to your subject. The minimum object distance for the 20mm, 24mm and 35mm is 4.3, 4.7 and 5.9 inches, respectively.
All three lenses also deliver a maximum magnification ratio of 1:2.
The new Tamron 20mm, 24mm and 35mm f/2.8 Di III OSD lenses are also very lightweight. Combined, all three weigh less than 650g. The 20mm lens weighs 220g, the 24mm lens 215g and the 35mm lens weighs 210g.
The Tamron 24mm and 20mm lenses are constructed of 10 elements in 9 groups, while the 35mm f/2.8 lens is made of 9 elements in 8 groups.
