Tamron has announced two new zoom lenses, introducing the 11-20mm F/2.8 Di III-A RXD for APS-C Sony E mount cameras and the 150-500mm F/5-6.7 Di III VC VXD for full-frame Sony E mount cameras.
The Tamron 150-500mm F/5-6.7 Di III VC VXD is a compact telephoto zoom that is constructed of 25 elements in 16 groups, which includes one Extra Low Dispersion element, five Low Dispersion elements and two Hybrid Aspherical elements.
It also features a seven-blade aperture and Tamron’s VXD focusing motor. Tamron’s VC optical image stabilisation is also inside.
Other features include a minimum focusing distance of 60cm and Tamron’s anti-ghosting and flare coating, BBAR-G2.
The 150-500mm F/5-6.7 Di III VC VXD weighs a hefty 1.72kg without its tripod mount, which is included in the bundle.

The APS-C Tamron 11-20mm F/2.8 Di III-A RXD is comprised of 12 elements in 10 groups, which includes two Glass Moulded Aspherical elements, one Extra Low Dispersion element and two Low Dispersion elements.
Inside it also boasts a seven-blade aperture and Tamron’s Rapid Extra-silent stepping Drive (RXD). What’s more, Tamron says the 11-20mm F/2.8 Di III-A RXD is compatible with Sony’s Eye AF functionality.
Other features include Tamron’s BBAR-G2 coating to prevent ghosting and flare, and a moisture-resistant design.
