Sony has announced a new range of rugged SD cards, introducing the TOUGH SF-M series, offering write speeds of up to 150MB/s.
Designed for shooting 4K video or raw stills in extreme conditions, the new TOUGH SF-M SD cards also offer read speeds of up to 277MB/s.
Sony says its new SF-M series is 18x stronger than a standard SD card and has the highest waterproof and dustproof resistance.
Sony SF-E series
Sony also plans to launch a new series of SF-E SD cards offering write speeds of up to 120MB/s and read speeds of up to 270MB/s.
Both the SF-M TOUGH and SF-E series will be released in the autumn and offer file rescue software (supporting both macOS and Windows) to help users recover accidentally deleted data or photos.
Both series will be available in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB capacities.
