SmallRig has announced the release of its latest innovation, the SmallRig RC 60B COB LED Video Light. SmallRig is by no means new to lighting, with a decent range of options that are already widely used. However, the launch of the RC 60B COB Video Light is a bit different, offering powerful illumination, control, and a compact form.
The RC 60B offers an advanced COB point light source LED video light and features SmallRig’s independently developed power management and heat dissipation system. This innovation allows for a built-in battery while maintaining a compact size and lightweight design, weighing just 750g. This makes it an ideal solution for any videographer wanting to travel light and work efficiently. Despite its small size, it delivers 2500lux at 1m/5600K, and up to 13000Lux with a standard hood.
The RC 60B features a fully wireless design, with a built-in battery, eliminating the need for external power sources. It offers up to 40 minutes of full-power usage and supports 100W PD Type-C input for simultaneous charging and use, making the RC 60B an ideal partner for extended use.
The light source covers a color temperature range from 2700K to 6500K, achieving a CRI of 97+ and TLCI of 98+, ensuring accurate color rendering and excellent sunlight spectrum reproduction.
SmallRig’s RC 60B is designed with the user experience in mind. It incorporates a silent fan cooling design, keeping noise levels to a minimum. The unit also includes intuitive onboard controls and a 1.3″ LCD color screen for precise adjustments. The light is complemented by various accessories like mini reflectors, softboxes, and power bank clamps, making it a versatile tool for creators.
The overall package, including accessories and the carrying case, weighs approximately 1.5kg.
