Saramonic, has released the Saramonic Ultra 2-Channel Wireless Microphone System. This new wireless mic system is aimed at content creators, filmmakers, and audio professionals. The Ultra offers a comprehensive feature set designed to enhance audio-video synchronisation, prevent distortion, and provide a seamless recording experience even in challenging environments. The Ultra combines timecode synchronisation, 32-bit float recording, and ClearVoice™ technology to deliver a powerful solution for capturing clear and accurate audio across various scenarios.
One of the big features of the Saramonic Ultra is its timecode synchronisation, which enables precise alignment between audio and video, especially valuable for filmmakers who require consistent frame accuracy across devices in post-production. This capability, paired with 8 GB of onboard storage and 32-bit float recording, ensures that users can capture a wide dynamic range, which reduces distortion risks even in highly dynamic audio environments. The Ultra can handle up to 130 dB SPL, making it adaptable for quiet or high-noise settings without compromising quality.
ClearVoice™ technology further enhances the Ultra’s functionality with intelligent noise cancellation and features like vocal boost and low-cut modes. These modes help eliminate unwanted background noise while emphasising vocal clarity. The Automatic Gain Control (AGC) function, an addition many will find useful, automatically adjusts audio levels based on ambient noise, allowing creators to focus on the content rather than managing levels.
Designed to support the needs of modern creators, the Saramonic Ultra comes with a 1.1-inch AMOLED touchscreen, allowing users to monitor audio levels, signal strength, and battery life in real time. It offers multiple connectivity options, with interchangeable Lightning and USB-C terminals alongside a 3.5mm jack, which improves compatibility across various recording setups. An external antenna increases wireless stability up to a 300-meter range, and the microphone system’s IPX5 waterproof rating ensures reliable performance even in challenging weather.
Saramonic has designed the Ultra with versatile use cases in mind, making it suitable for diverse recording environments. It provides dependable, high-quality audio for film production, content creation, live events, and even outdoor settings like field reporting. The IPX5 waterproofing and high SPL threshold make it particularly useful for recording in unpredictable outdoor conditions.
