Ricoh has announced the prototype of a new flagship Pentax APS-C DSLR and three new Pentax lenses.
The camera, which is still unnamed, was due to be announced at the canceled CP+ show in February and is due for an official announcement before the end of this year.
Ricoh made the announcement in a video that was light on specs, but it made a few revelations. Ricoh says the new Pentax DSLR will feature an enhanced optical viewfinder that uses enhanced glass that can provide better magnification.
Ricoh says the AF system is also improved, and a new battery grip will be available at launch.
Ricoh also announced the Pentax D FA 21mm Limited and Pentax HD DA* 16-50mm f/2.8 lenses, as well as the HD PENTAX-D FA* 85mm F1.4ED SDM AW.
The names are tentative, Ricoh says, and more information will be released over time.
