SWIT’s Mini-150B squeezes a full 150W bi-colour COB LED into a head roughly the size of a coffee mug, with V-mount and USB-C power and a fan-off silent mode.

SWIT is pushing its Mini-150B to a wider audience following its debut at NAB 2026 in April. It’s a compact bi-colour COB LED that’s designed for location shooters who want real output without the bulk of a traditional 150W fixture.

The body measures just 104 x 104 x 125mm and weighs 1kg, which is small enough to slip into a camera bag alongside a couple of lenses.

Output and colour

The Mini-150B combines 150W of warm white and 150W of cold white LEDs, with a combined maximum of 150W. Colour temperature is adjustable from 2,700K to 6,500K. SWIT quotes CRI 98 and TLCI 98, along with an SSI (D55) score of 73.

Bare, the light delivers 5,400 lux at 1m. With the reflector fitted, that rises to 24,000 lux at 1m, while the reflector and diffuser together give 2,000 lux at 1m.

It uses a Mini-Bowens mount, and SWIT includes an adapter for standard Bowens modifiers, so existing softboxes and reflectors can be used.

Flexible power

Power is where the Mini-150B gets interesting for location work. It can run from a V-mount battery (12-16.8V, with the battery needing to support a 150W constant load), or via USB-C at up to 28V 5A, supporting PD 2.0, 3.0 and 3.1 as well as AFC and QC 2.0/3.0. A high-output USB-C power bank could therefore be all you need to run it.

Control is via the on-board panel and display, or SWIT’s Console app over Bluetooth on iOS and Android. There’s also a fan-off mode for completely silent running, which is handy when recording audio, though output will presumably be limited in this mode to manage heat.

Compact 150W COBs are now a crowded category, but the combination of USB-C PD 3.1 power and a Mini-Bowens mount with a full Bowens adapter makes the Mini-150B worth a look for solo shooters.
