Redmi has confirmed that its next flagship-killer, the Redmi K100, will launch later this month. It will be joined by the Redmi Clip Neo, the brand’s first clip-on open-ear earbuds.

The confirmation came through Redmi’s official Weibo account, and pre-orders are already open in China. So far Redmi has shown only a silhouette of the phone, with teasers hinting at a green colour option. It hasn’t confirmed a launch date or any specifications.

That hasn’t stopped the leaks. According to reports compiled by GSMArena, the K100 is tipped to use the older Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, have a battery of more than 10,000mAh and a 6.9-inch high refresh rate display, and get a metal frame and Bose-tuned dual speakers. None of that is official yet.

The Redmi K series has built its reputation on flagship-level performance at a lower price, usually launching first in China before appearing globally under the POCO name. Camera hardware has rarely been the headline, so we’ll be watching to see whether Redmi gives the K100’s cameras more attention this time.

The Clip Neo earbuds will come in White and Black. Redmi hasn’t released any specifications or pricing.
