German AI editing company Neurapix has launched Flow, a new service that sends photos straight from the camera into Lightroom Classic and edits them automatically in the photographer’s own style, so finished images are ready while the shoot is still going on.

Neurapix is already known for its AI that learns a photographer’s editing style from their past work and applies it in Lightroom Classic. Flow is its first move beyond editing and culling into the steps around them, starting with import.

There are two routes. Flow Live uses the camera’s Wi-Fi: after a one-off setup, every image is uploaded as soon as the shutter is released, edited using the photographer’s SmartPreset and delivered into Lightroom Classic within seconds. It works with any camera that supports FTP transfer, as well as the major manufacturers’ cloud services. Flow Card handles SD cards: insert the card, and the import into Lightroom Classic starts automatically, with all images edited and prepared for culling.

As before, nothing is burned into the files. The AI simply sets the Lightroom sliders and crop for each image, so you can carry on editing from where it left off.

Neurapix is aiming squarely at photographers for whom speed matters. Event and sports photographers can send edited images to an agency during the game, and wedding photographers can hand over finished shots during the reception, rather than competing with guests’ phone pictures on social media. For portrait sessions, it could make same-day delivery a bookable extra.

The idea of a camera-to-finished-image pipeline isn’t new for news and sports agencies, but bringing it to working wedding and event photographers using their own editing style is a significant step. We’d be interested to see how reliable the Wi-Fi transfer is in a busy venue, which is often where these systems struggle.
